An event to long for peace called the Biggest Painting in the World was held at the Peace Memorial Park in Itoman City in Okinawa on June 15, in which the painting of children are joined together to make one piece of painting. About 2,000 kindergarten children painted their friends, the Sun and so on, on 48 pieces of clothes with color markers and their parents and guardians sew them together into one 15 m x 16 m painting.
